Lost Arts Our talented artisans preserve Hill Country traditions Fredericksburg's tradition of cherishing and preserving its culture and natural heritage was recognized by First Lady Laura Bush when she designated it as a Preserve America community in April 2006. As a heritage tourism destination, Fredericksburg and surrounding Hill Country communities share a need to balance the needs of preservation, conservation, and growth. Each member of TheSource is committed to fostering this balance in his or her own craft and/or profession, as well as in the products and services they offer through TheSource.
